Kansas City Royals Betting Preview

Kansas City Royals had a tough season last year only winning 58 games last year. The expectations were not high to begin with as they were projected to win 70. They ended up only with 58 wins and was their worst season since 2005. Billy Hamilton, Jake Diekman, Chris Owings were added this off-season Alcides Escobar, & Jason Hammel were lost. The AL Central overall will be a more competitive division, even with the all the players lost by the Cleveland Indians. Salvador Perez will be out for the year after Tommy John surgery, which will be a huge loss for the Royals coming into the season. Here are some of the notable bets coming into the season-

  • Royals Betting PreviewWorld Series Odds: +100000
  • Division Odds: +6000
  • Win Total O/U: 69.5
  • Playoff Odds: Make +2000, Miss -10000

My favorite bet for the Royals this year- Under 69.5 wins! With Salvador Perez being out for the whole season, which will be almost a bigger loss mentally for the team that his actual performance on the field will be a huge impact to the team, The Royals will increase their win total from last year, but only by 8 games, and I have them winning 66 wins this season. The pitching of Danny Duffy, Brad Keller & Jakob Junis is sub-par and no one stands out on the offensive end also.

Here is my top prediction –

  • Win Total O/U: under 69.5 (confidence 7.5 of 10)
