Chicago Cubs vs Colorado Rockies (over 6.5)(F5)- Peter Lambert makes his second career start, and his first at Coors Field. In his first start, he looked great against the Cubs on the road, and of course, he faces off against them again. This is not a good spot for the kid as the team will get a second crack at him in a hitter-friendly park. Lambert has nasty stuff and has a curveball that will knock your socks off, but the Cubs will have a second time to see his stuff. Quintana should struggle against the righties of the Rockies, including Story and Arenado. He has a 4.58 ERA in 17 innings up 10 earned. I am expecting both offenses to wake up tonight and I also like the full game over at 12.
San Diego Padres -170 (f5) vs San Francisco Giants- Chris Paddack will be on the bump for the Padres tonight and he has been solid throughout the season. Other than his last two outings against the Phillies and Yankees, he has been absolutely outstanding. Not sure if we can assume that the league is starting to catch on to his stuff, but going up against a subpar offense tonight, I am surely backing the Padres here. Tyler Beede has struggled this year and I don’t expect him to get anything back on track tonight. Beede has a 4.73 ERA/5.36 FIP/1.80 WHIP on the year. This is a safer bet here, but I also like the -.5 (F5) or Padres -140 full game. Remember, a tie on the ML for the first 5 innings is a push, whereas a -.5 bet that lands in a tie after 5 innings, is a loss.
Seattle Storm +2 vs Indiana Fever- If you look at these two teams, they both are sitting at 3-2, but the Storm have had a way stronger strength of schedule than the Fever. Two of those wins were against the Liberty who are 1-4 and the other was against the Dallas Wings who are 0-4. Seattle is the better team in this one and I like for them to win tonight.
